Good to Know
The Show
Live at the Barbershop is an underground comedy show born in NYC's East Village. After nearly a decade and over 2,000 shows, the same format is now in Houston: stand up comedy inside a real barbershop, with a secret lineup of professional comedians.
The show takes place at Cutthroat Barbers on W 19th Street in The Heights, with roughly 40 seats, BYOB, and no traditional comedy club distance between the audience and the comics.
What to Expect
Built for the Room
The Heights room is intentionally small: roughly 40 seats, comics close enough for real crowd work, and a show pace built for a barbershop after hours.
Secret Lineups
We do not announce names in advance. Houston lineups are built from touring comics, strong Texas stand ups, and guests from the broader Live at the Barbershop network.
BYOB Night Out
Bring beer, wine, or canned cocktails. There is no bar, no drink minimum, and no corkage fee. Standard Texas alcohol laws apply.
Comedy in The Heights
The show is on W 19th Street near Yale, in the middle of one of Houston's easiest neighborhoods for a low-key night out. Bring your own drinks, grab seats early, and expect the room to feel closer to a private show than a club.
The format is simple: a working barbershop becomes a compact comedy room after hours. You get the exact venue, live ticket links, parking notes, BYOB policy, age requirement, and show schedule before buying.
